He ran to her & said ‘we are late the train has left’ she looked at him & slapped him ‘This is the bus stop, stupid’
She broke it into two pieces, looked at the bigger piece, thought for a moment and gave it her little brother; ‘chocolate’ he beamed
He was the first to reach the office. And he was the only one to reach the office. It was a Sunday
Though he began the day with a frown, he managed a smile towards midday and was all laughing out loud by the time he hit his bed
Festivities; Fire crackers; Elders disburse token cash as good omen; he picks his share & walks to the bar “2 large No ice” he gulps it in
He looked at the sky & said it will rain; the guy next to him said no; they fought & killed each other; rain washed away the blood
He hid his past for a better future; But the future always came resembling his hidden past
He said the glass was empty and She said it was full; they argued & broke up; He meant water & she meant air
‘It took 25 years; I too cried, feared & thought quitting a 1000 times’ He said to the crowd ‘dreams never come in a platter ready to eat’
