A Walk into the Past

Today -
I stand here looking at yesterday

I went in search –
Of me, into my own distant past

I decided to tread
The steps backwards for the first time

I saw -
Faces, moments and passions in life

I realized –
None of them were with me today

The Faces -
Shrunk in familiarity as I moved on

I forgot -
Many names faster than the faces

I lost-
The connection with those passions I had

I missed –
Those moments of simple happiness

And Finally
I could not find me in my own past

I had lost
Not just in the present but also in my past

I felt –
I was walking into someone else’s life
