Irony of Life

Posted by Vinod on December 22, 2009

Amongst the severed fingers lie
A golden ring engraved ‘peace’

A blind is holding a gun weeping
And the deaf is dead with earplugs on

The dumb stood still and cried out loud
The insane bowed low and begged mercy

The powerful were all crushed to dust
And life was seen crawling on knees

They said this war would restore peace
But price per piece was too high to pay

How ironic has this world finally become
Inscribing death on every living form
